I am now running yoga classes in Chelsea for the first time since I started to practise yoga in 1996 - it was recommended to me for health reasons –and I found it complimented my own exercise programme. I enjoyed it so much, I trained as a yoga teacher in 1999 and have taught yoga full time since then.
My first training was as a Sivananda teacher – bendy, breathy, upsidedown – the bat people of yoga!- and have subsequently studied other styles of hatha yoga including Iyengar – precision – Anusara – alignment – Ashtanga Vinyasa – power – and more restorative healing practises including the wonderful deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra.
I have taught in a variety of yoga centres – evolve wellness centre, The Light Centre, The Art of Health and others – healthclubs – Virgin Active, LA Fitness etc and a lot privately – small groups, couples and 1-1.
I love yoga – it changed my life - and after 14 years of teaching I am confident in my ability to teach almost anyone – be it for health reasons, just to be a bit more flexible or to deepen a personal spiritual practise. Whatever your physical ability and reasons for wanting to practise yoga, I can teach you and it will be fun, informative and satisfying.
